Charter Week Bretagne11 June - 17 June 2011 9. SO LONG Charter Week Bretagne 2011
The Charter Week is organised and carried out by SO LONG Yachting. We sail with several yachts from Saint Malo to the Channal Islands of Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney. The navigation is determined by the tide and the changing currents, thus the cruise planning must be checked against tide, and the other factor influencing navigation.
Everybody who is in possession of a sailing licence or is going to make their sailing licence has once learnt tidal navigation in the theory. But how does one determine the depth of the water to cross the flood wall of the harbour at spring tide or when one has to leave the harbour and to use the tidal currents in the right direction before the tide changes direction. These and other questions you can discuss in detail during the Charterweekand experience these hands-on. | | | Sauson – Belle-Ile en Mer | The oyster of the Brittany |
According to your crew size you can charter a smaller or bigger yacht or a catamaran. As an individual you are welcome too and can book a bunk or a cabin. You find all detailed information about the route, prices and conditions under program, participation and yachts. You can receive information about the last Charterweeks with photos under evaluation and foto gallery.
The SO LONG Charter Week is a sailing event for charter crews and individual cabin cruise clients to discover and explore attractive, exciting charter areas. With our organisation and service we offer all information that is needed for a secure navigation in these areas. For example which local customs to abide by while in harbour or other formalities which must be adhered too. Which weather conditions are important? Are there special ways to anchor? Which nautical literature is needed for the cruise planning etc.. Another Charter Week goal is to become acquainted with other delighted Sailors and make new contacts and friendships. We support this and organise it for you too.
