2011 – Participation conditions

You charter a yacht according to your wishes. Just tell us the size of your crew and your preferred type of yacht, your airport of departure and whether you want to sail only during the Charterweek, another time or several weeks longer. We will work out an offer for you!

If you want to take part as an individual, as a pair or a threesome without Skipper responsibility, the participation costs per person are Euro 495 not including one-way costs, board cash and flight costs. 

The cabin cruise clients who are alone will be arranged together as a crew by SO LONG Yachting. Sailors, who would like to take over the skipper responsibility and who have the necessary know how, can be taken on as the skipper for these crews when possible. For the board catering, harbour fees, diesel and other articles of consumption there will be a board cash. The skipper does not pay into the board cash and is catered for.

The Charterweek is a One-Way-Cruise. That means, we take the yachts from Tenerife to Lanzarote. The transport crews must fly back to Tenerife. The one-way-costs are ca. 400 Euro per yacht and have to be paid by each charter crew at embarkation. This holds true for individual bookers too. At embarkation each crew member of the yacht pays a part of the one-way costs.

During the Charterweek, we from SO LONG Yachting and ECC are present in every harbour, holding a skippers briefing each morning, organize the mooring in the harbours and provide you with all the information and measures in order to guarantee safe sailing in this Passat area. We will help you with renting of cars to visit sights on the islands, etc. The tourist office of Tenerife and the Canary Islands will support us too.

If you cannot sail a whole week with us, you can also participate for a couple of days. We organize the transfer back to Lanzarote.

Use this sail event for the start of the season. Sail with us in the security of an organized Charterweek. You surely will come back to explore this area on your own initiative.

Flight costs:
The flight to the Canaries is to Lanzarote and the flight back is from Tenerife. From the airport on Lanzarote it is easy to take the public bus lines to the Marina Puerto Calero. We also organize car pools for a taxi-transfer, depending on the arrivals of the participants.
