This SO LONG Charterweek Canary of Iceland 2004 took place in the time of the 21.02.04 to 28.02.04.
58 sailors from Germany, Switzerland and Spain on 10 yachts participated. The Charterweek started at Las Galettas/Teneriffa and we sailed from there to La Gomera, La Palma, Gran Canaria and again back to Tenerife. Also this time, we were supported again by different sponsors. For what may we thank again quite heartily at this place.
Main sponsors were the Marketing/Tourism organisations SPET (topic Tenerife and the sea, and Saturno of the Canaries and Tenerife,).
On La Palma, we were invited to a dinner by the island government. It took place in the Real Club Nautico of Santa Cruz of de la Palma. We would like to thank again heartily also for this great hospitality here.
Each participant got a T-shirt furthermore sponsored from Saturno, ECC and SO LONG Yachting.
Especially generously was again our sponsor DORADA. This Spanish brewery of the Canaries provided each crew with a palette beer and tapped iced, foamy beer furthermore to the Welcome and Good Bye party.
During the sailing from Gran Canaria to Tenerife, a regatta was sailed again. The winner was the Boncho crew with Skipper Wolf Ortlinghaus. The 2. Place became crew from the El Pato Luca with Skipper Jörg Korehnke and the 3. Place went to Leinard crew with Skipper Dr. Klaus Deparade.
The places are only positionings on time of course. They must be defended with the next Charterweek. We therefore see hopefully alltogether again at the SO LONG Charterweek Canary of Iceland 2005 on La Graciosa.
