9. Blue Horizon Cup, 13.10.07 – 20.10.07. Corfu – Corfu

We sail a regatta on yardstick rules but with respect at the elements, the yachts and the sailing material. Beside the races there will be time enough for a lot of fun like swimming and just holidays.

You can take part with your whole charter crew or as a single or with two or three participants without skipper responsibility. The participation costs per person are Euro 305 plus board cash and arrival costs.

For the cabin cruise clients we organise the crews by SO LONG Yachting. Sailors, who would like to take over the skipper responsibility and who have the necessary know how, can be taken as the skipper for these crews on demand. For the board catering, harbour fee, diesel and other articles of consumption will be installed a board cash. The skipper is free from paying into the board cash and becomes catered.

As a charter crew you charter a yacht accordingly to our list of available yachts. The charter fee during the Cup depends on the size of the yacht and the number of crew members It is calculated from the cruise fee of 305,00 Euro pro person multiplied with the number of the maximal recommended crew members for the yacht. Is your crew nmaller it remains on the minimal charter fee as the following list say. Do you sail with more persons than the maximal recommended crew of the yacht you have to pay 305,00 Euro more for each more crew member.

SY 37 – 38 ft, 3 cab., 1(2) WC, advisable crew 5 pers. = 1525,00 €
SY 38.5 – 41 ft, 3 cab. 2 WC, advisable crew 6 pers. = 1830,00 €
SY 42 – 43 ft, 4 cab., 2 WC, advisable crew 7 pers. = 2135,00 €
SY 44 – 48 ft, 4 cab., 2 (3) WC, advisable crew 8 pers. = 2440,00 €
SY 49 – 50 ft, 5 cab., 3 (4) WC, advisable crew 10 pers. = 3050,00 €

The end cleaning is obligatory. It is 50,00 € for a 3 cabin yacht and 70,00 € for a 4 or 5 cabin yacht. An outboard engine can be rent for 80,00 € (the whole regatta week). These extra costs have to be paid at embarkation. The diesel consumption has to be paid from every crew at the end of the cruises.

If you have no practical regatta experience, you can take part on a one-day training. During this training you will be advised in harbour manoeuvres like training the landing with bower-anchor 'Roman-Catholic' and you get information about regatta tactic and professional sail trim. The training take place on Saturday, 13.10.07 and costs 40,00 € pro person.

The arrival is individual and not inclusive in the cruise fee. Our travel agency Aqua Nautik Reisen will help you and organise the flights from every airport to Corfu. The prices are between EUR 350 and EUR 450. Early booking is to recommended.

If you do not get a flight on Saturday or if you want to participate on the training, you can overnight on the yachts before and after the Blue Horison Cup. The overnight from Friday to Saturday, 12./13.10. is free of charge for the clients who take part on the regatta-training. For the other participants and every other overnight on the yachts costs 20 € per person.

If you want to charter the yacht additional days/weeks before or after the regatta week we can give you special favourable charter prices. It is worth to extend the vacation. Simply call us your crew size and your preferred Yacht type, your departure airport and the additional periods, we will work out an offer for you!
