General references for charter and cabin cruise
SO LONG YACHTING is an internationally active charter agency. Our aim is to arrange charter and cabin cruises of high quality through the selection of suitable boat lessors and cabin cruise providers on the Mediterranean Sea, in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the South Seas, in Scandinavia, on the Baltic Sea and in the Netherlands.
However, the lessors and providers are independent national companies. The contractual relationship is concluded directly between our clients and the lessor or cabin cruise provider, that means we as an agent cannot be held liable for the requirements of the charter/cabin cruise contract claimed against the lessor or cabin cruise provider.
In Greece the content of the charter contract officially stipulated. Claims made against the lessor or cruise provider have to be made on the spot. For our function as an agency we receive a commission from the charter/cabin cruise provider, which is included in the price of the charter/cabin cruise.
The Charter company that we do business with are not tour operators, but the we as an intermediary of the charter contract is a leasing contract of the yacht booked by our client. As far as we have given an insurance document to our clients that does not mean that a volunteer submission is given to the travel contract law. We arrange solely leasing contracts for boats.
Insurances The charter yachts are covered by comprehensive and liability insurance. After the conclusion of the charter contract we will send you the documents for the travel cancellation insurance. Besides that we offer a skipper’s liability insurance, a surety insurance and a charter consequential damage insurance. The previously mentioned insurances are valid for a year and for all concluded charter contracts in this time.
Prices and equipment The prices are valid in EURO per week unless otherwise stated. They can be changed without notice. Basis of the charter contract is the latest price list which is on hand when the contract is concluded. Unfortunately the case of a wrong quotation of prices in the contract may occur in spite of EDP. Then the price of the current price list is valid. The boat descriptions and equipment indications are arranged by our partner to the best of our knowledge and serve as your information. However, there is no guarantee for the form and completeness. They are also not part of the charter/cruise contract.
Cabin cruise conditions The price of the cabin cruise contains the berth on the yacht with a skipper. There will be a board cash for the provisions, diesel fuel, gas and harbour fees. The skipper will be catered too, usually by the crew. Offers for training or apprenticeship are not part of the cabin cruise contract but will be agreed upon by the crew and the skipper on an optional basis. A cabin cruise can be cancelled when there are less than 4 bookings. In that case we offer an alternative cruise.
