Since 1989 the German Baltic Sea coast offers a lot of more areas to Sail. The Baltic Sea West from Fehmarn to Flensburg offer serviceable departure harbours for the cruise through the Danish island world. Very popular are cruises from Fehmarn around Fyn, to Smalands shipping lane or to Kopenhagen. The southern Baltic Sea from Rostock to the island Rügen  which is a new cruise. It is also possible to sail from from Greifswald, Stralsund, Breege or Lauterbach around Rügen or to make a cruise to the island Bornholm.
