The small town Wegorzewo on the shores of Mamry Lake is only 20 km from the Russian border. A nice place to stop. Here there are many craft studios. 7 km southeast is lovelythe long beach of Ogonki.

For the Polish inland waterways, a licence is required, exempt are residents in countries that do not have inland-waterways licences (Examples: Great Britain, Denmark, Australia).
